A spice that is more expensive than gold. A lovely spice to use but very pricy. I didn’t mention this in the video but Iran is the biggest producer of saffron in the world. Accounting for 90% of production worldwide. Harvesting saffron is a labor inducing and time consuming process. Workers have reported have that it takes up to 500 hours (or almost three weeks!) to collect just one POUND of saffron. Just imagine being apart of that process ????
