This is a new series that we named “Sashiko Dialogue”.
The purpose of this series is to “Deliver” the message, and we accumulate the dialogue about Sashiko from various perspectives.
In September 2023, I had my first “Interview style Discussion” online (https://youtu.be/VkA7mqvTsXI) thanks to the support from JACL. I have offered several kinds of gatherings online where we talk about Sashiko while stitching. These online gatherings were very awesome, yet it has been difficult to keep it going without a specific theme to discuss. I learned that having the purpose of “Delivering the message” can keep our dialogue more sustainable.
Then, I thought of the continuous series of someone interviewing me about Sashiko & Related Topic. What I answer may be the same story as I share on Youtube Live Streaming & Instagram Posts. However, for this year, my mission is to deliver the message - which requires us to keep sharing the same message.
A new Sashiko friend, whom I occasionally had a profound chat over the Internet with Sashiko stitching after him taking my workshop, decided to help me to continue this Sashiko Dialogue Series. It is Ty Dias. From his point of view as a youth who grew up in the US, I ask him to interview me with his honest questions. I will probably ask for his opinion, too.
Then, we will make a dialogue with important messages within so that our message will be delivered to you.
