The CEO of BK Lobster, a popular seafood franchise started in Brooklyn, NY, Rodney Bonds, is now under fire for allegedly stealing money from unsuspecting investors and targeting Black women entrepreneurs in the process. Some investors claim they’ve lost upwards of $300,000 due to fraudulent business activities and illegitimate contracts. Bonds claims that he did not scam anyone; however, he was unaware of certain franchise laws in the state of New York and is trying to rectify them.
